Data Subscribtion Costs To be Slashed Down to N390 per GB

Welcome Reader. Over the weekend, The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has implemented a  resolve based on the Federal Government’s directive on the challenges of high data cost of data in the country.

NCC plans to review the the cost of data subscription from N1,000 to N390 per gigabyte.

According to Mr Danbatta, the ministry was tasked to come up with a friendly digital economy policy and strategies, adding that all the efforts put in place are intended to bring the cost of data down to N390 as against the N1,000 that Mobile Network Operators, MNOs, are charging.

To achieve subsidized data cost, according to Mr Dambatta, the country must provide pervasive broadband data infrastructure.

I know some of the network already offers N300 for 1 GB data plans but it is only meant for one day. The question is how long will the data last, and will it zap like others or not?
