Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo Set To Roll Out A Fast File Transfer Service

Welcome Reader. Back in August2019,Vivo,Xiaomi, and OPPO announced a partnership called the Inter-Transfer Alliance Group, which is now called Peer-8to-Peer Transmission Alliance. It will enable their devices to have an AirDrop-likeu file-transfer feature for wireless and seamless sharing of data at high speeds.


After several months of open beta testing, the group is finally done with the testing and has just announced in a press release the cross-brand service is going global. The date has not been set by all the companies involved; only Vivo has come out and said it will be available on its devices starting February 2020.

How it will work

The service will use Bluetooth for fast pairing and Wi-Fi P2P for a high-speed connection. In order to use it, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth must be turned on, then from the Menu option, you can select what files you wish to transfer.

Future Plans

The Peer-to-Peer Transmission Alliance is looking to invite more brands who are willing to participate and expand the ecosystem

Global Launch

The file transfer service is going to be available on smartphones starting in February 2020. the partnership will allow users to share files wirelessly without the need for an internet connection.
